november yappy hour: a bark day party!

Did I say that I would post pictures tomorrow from the Yappy Hour? I meant next week. Time flies when you're a puppy!

Last Yappy Hour wasn't just any Yappy Hour, it was also a birthday party for my friend Coyote Cute! We had cake, wore hats, and had a lot of fun.

Here's the cake, courtesy of Three Dog Bakery:

And here's the birthday boy, Coyote Cute:

My brother Wonton had a little trouble putting on his hat correctly:

Sugar got a little help with hers:

And Wonton figured out how to rock the hat, finally:

I think this dog is sad because he doesn't have a hat:

Here I am, with my mom (and boss!), Cabrini:

We look so good together, here's another picture:

I think I overheard Cabrini making plans for something really special for the next Yappy Hour. I can't wait to find out what it is!

November Downtown Dogwalk tonight!

Anybody else headed over to Pershing Square for the monthly Downtown Dogwalk? We meet once a month on the 2nd Wednesday at 6pm in Pershing Square and walk our furry friends to green spaces close by to advocate for an off-leash dog park for downtown dogs. Hope to see you and your pooch there!

Reminder: November Yappy Hour is tonight!

Quick reminder - if you're out Art Walking, or just dog-walking tonight, please stop by The Lofty Dog for the November Yappy Hour. You're sure to have a howling good time!

Howl-O-Ween Pictures

Hi, I'm Cody!

I'm one of the resident dogs here at The Lofty Dog, so I'm almost always on the scene for all the fun stuff we do here. I'll try to get online and post pictures when I can.

To start things off, here are a few pictures from the Howl-O-Ween party we had last month.

Here's Pablo and a pumpkin (sorry, I didn't catch your name):

Isis and her handler (don't dare call him a pimp!):

Is that a hard hat or a yarmulke? Everyone kept asking this construction worker if they were Jewish:

This bumblebee mistook Dodger's loftmate Aggie for a flower:

I have some more pictures of the dogs who came in costume, including our prize winners, but I have to finish getting ready for tonight's yappy hour. Being as cute as I am doesn't come without taking some time to primp. I will post the rest of the pictures soon, and I'll try to get some pictures (and stories) from tonight.

Why Some Pets Hate Halloween

Last night's Howl-O-Ween Party at The Lofty Dog was a great success! The place was jam-packed with dogs and their owners, dressed in their scariest, cutest, and funniest costumes, all hoping to win prizes and bragging rights. Stay tuned for pictures of our winners and some awesome group shots, but while you wait, check out some pictures explaining why some pets hate Halloween:
